Brunch on Shrubbery Road
A bright Streatham cafe serving Molinari coffee, hot brunch plates and fresh juices from six in the morning, with a mezzanine upstairs and tables outside.
The coffee
Molinari, poured properly
Molinari coffee
The espresso is Molinari, pulled through the morning for the regulars who come in before work and for anyone settling in with a paper.
Open from 6am
The door opens at six on weekdays, so an early start can begin with a proper coffee rather than a queue.
Upstairs seating
There is a mezzanine above the counter with room to sit and eat, along with a few tables around the counter downstairs.
Tables outside
A terrace on Shrubbery Road catches the quiet just off Streatham High Road, and it is a good spot for a coffee in the sun.
Brunch and lunch
Hot brunch plates run alongside pastries, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and salads, so the kitchen has something at most hours of the day.
4.9 from 171 reviews
Streatham keeps coming back for the food and the welcome, and the room stays clean, bright and easy to sit in.

Coffee from six
Molinari espresso, brewed from the moment the door opens on a weekday, with juices and smoothies made fresh at the counter.

Upstairs and out front
A mezzanine of extra seating, tables around the counter and a terrace outside, with music low enough to hear yourself think.

Cooked to order
Brunch plates, tagines, French tacos, jacket potatoes and paninis, made fresh with room to change an order if you ask.

We love Nila Cafe! We’ve had the Shakshuka, sweetcorn fritters and the pancakes and everything has been delicious. The portions are generous and everything is fairly priced. The smoothies and coffee are great too. We’ll definitely be back tEmily Vyse, Google review
